Cross Kickboxing
Our Cross Kickboxing classes give you the ultimate balanced workout with 30 minutes of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) kickboxing combined with 30 minutes of functional strength training. Whether you are new to kickboxing and/or boxing, have intermediate skills, or even advanced skills, our in-depth training protocol will help you hone your skills and increase your strength and durability.
Within the protocol we have developed, you will learn how footwork plays an integral part in your kickboxing training, all the while developing speed and accuracy in your punching, striking and defensive moves.
Using heavy bags, as well as partnering up and using pads, will give you the skills needed to develop power and finesse. Combining that with our footwork drills will keep you moving and engage your cardio response mechanism, burning hundreds of calories. You will learn the do’s and don’ts of correct technique, how weight transfer will increase your punching power, how to defend and how to attack.
Strength training is achieved through the use of functional body weight movements, as well as using equipment such as TRX straps, kettlebells, resistance bands and traditional free weights. You will get a balanced strength workout encompassing push/pull exercises, squats, and lunges. Adding strength training to the cardio intensity of kickboxing will send your fitness level through the roof!
You get all this in a fun filled class with a positive community of like-minded people, motivating each other to go that one step farther to reach their fitness goals. Whether it’s weight loss, increasing your strength, as well as cardio endurance (or all the above) that you are seeking, these classes are your road to your bettering yourself!

Short answer; absolutely not! We have members of all health and fitness levels, and our classes are designed to fit around each one of these levels.
The only thing we ask is that you bring your best attitude when you come to one of our classes. If you have the mental framework determined to become physically healthy, that is all we want to see. Our trainers will help you get into the best shape of your life!
Of course. Although, we must say you get what you put in. If you follow a consistent workout pattern, you are bound to see the results you want. On average, kickboxers burn an average of 820 calories per hour.
No, we love teaching new members. There is no better way to gain respect from our community than someone who has the will to join our class without any experience. If you can take that first step, you have already proven to our group that you are a strong-minded individual. We will teach you everything you need to know.
Most of the training comes from the natural, isotonic, aerobic, anaerobic, and isometric exercises, although, some kettlebells may be recommended or used. These exercises help our members with losing weight and toning the whole body; our focus is for you to develop speed, flexibility, and force.
Sweats and a T-shirt, or yoga attire, work best. You’ll also want to bring a towel and a bottle of water. And of course bring the mental attitude that you’re going to kill this workout!
We understand how busy your life can be; we would love to see you at least three times a week. We believe three times a week will be a good start for you to build your overall endurance and capability to implement the basic kickboxing moves.
Once you have built the basic foundation of the Kickboxing moves, we encourage you to then increase the amount of frequency and intensity of your workouts. We want you to go at your own pace, but make sure to challenge yourself to see the best results.
As a member of Cross Kickboxing of Morristown you can attend as many Cross Kickboxing and Skills and Drills classes as you would like!
